Qalqilya north terminal

This is what the Palestinians working in Israel have to go through every morning.  Qalyilya terminal opens at 4am, by that time several hundreds of workers are already waiting outside, no matter if it is raining or freezing cold, they desperatly need to be on the other side at 6am.  The terminal usually opens only at 4:30, because the soldiers are late or, as one of the worker told me the other day, because ” they want to kill us slowly”. What happens then is that the queue breaks down as everyone is desperate to run inside the unique turstyle to get into the terminal. At that point, the women and the old men retreat, the wait for one or two hours and if the situation does not become better, they sometimes just go back home and loose their day of work.

Last morning I was there, the soldiers threw tear gaz at the people waiting. I had lots of pictures of that but the soldiers conficated my camera and forced me to delete all of them.

Wow, it’s all so ridiculous. They actually made all this infrastructure so only one person can pass at a time? It’s all the more absurd given that on the other side there is only farm land.
Imagine, what would happen if they made a gate and God forbid instead of 1, 10 people would pass at the same time.
This is just inhumane, treating people like cattle not to mention a waste of ressources.

Yes, its unbelievable. This particular terminal leeds to Israel, it is used by the Palestinians working in Israel, it is not one of the agricultural gates which leeds to the farm land. Thanks for this comment, tells me that I should post pictures of theses agicultural gates as well.
